Wild Senna is a native Perennial wildflower that serves many purposes in the garden or meadow. The bright yellow blooms attract a parade of pollinators to the summer garden and come autumn, the leaves change colors and seed pods provide nourishment for a variety of birds. Growing to be about 5’, plant Wild Senna in the back border of a garden or wildflower meadow.

Tolerates sandy and clay soil, as well as heat and humidity.

An upright, shrubby variety, offers up bright yellow blooms in July to August,

Attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds to the garden or meadow. In autumn, the foliage turns to red and black seed pods form, helping to feed birds.

Light Requirements: Full Sun, Half Sun / Half Shade

Bloom Time: Mid to late summer

Soil Moisture: Average, Moist / Wet

Soil Type: Loamy Soil, Clay Soil, Acidic Soil, Well-Drained Soil
