Popular variety grown for both fresh market and processing. A Japanese cross of Golden Delicious and Indo. The large, yellowish-green fruit has pronounced lenticels and, at times, a soft orange blush. The flesh is crisp and creamy white, and the flavor is sweet and good for eating out of hand or cooking. It stores very well. This variety should not be used as a pollenizer for other apples.

APPLE varieties must be cross pollinated with another variety. Golden Delicious and flowering crab apples are the most commonly used pollinators.

ROOTSTOCK- EMLA 111- produces a tree about two-thirds the size of a standard tree. Vigorous scion varieties and better soils may grow to three-quarter size or larger. EMLA 111 is a good producing rootstock, is well anchored and tolerant of drought conditions. It is widely adapted to most soil conditions.
