June 7, FREE Fishing Day Event was a Success!
Thanks to everyone who came out to make this day a GREAT DAY!

What a great day at Stratford Park for our FREE Fishing Day. Over 200 people showed up, and we had vendors with crafts and games, free pizza, and so much fun!
We started this event with Women of the Wild 3 years ago when we filled out the form to use the park.
Midland Parks and Recreation became a partner at that time, and we appreciate all they do to make the event a success!
Thanks to everyone who came out, all the organizations and businesses that set up, provided fun.
All the volunteers that helped.
Thank you to Biggby Coffee for donating coffee, A&W for providing root beer, Domino's Pizza for discounted pizza so we could offer it free to attendees.
With donations, we provided 37 door prizes for the kids. They included fishing poles, tackle boxes, t-shirts, fishing journals, fish ID books, book bags, stickers, attendees that signed in got temporary fish tattoos and sheets of fish stickers.
It's a great way to get kids outside learning & having fun!
If you're interested in joining us next year let us know!
We need people to help with fishing, set up a table promote your organization or business, and provide door prizes.
Conservation Matters, Come have fun with us.
